More than Immense Love

What an incredibly sovereign and loving God we have!

God created a perfect world for us and He gave us the best of the best. A perfect world, eternal life on it, and everything we could ever possibly need. He also gave us a mind, so we could know Him; emotions, so we could love Him; and a will, so we could love and obey Him out of our own choice.

Then He gave us only one command, not to eat from one tree. There were thousands of other trees for us to eat out of, yet we disobeyed him and we ate out of that one tree. We thought we knew better than our great Creator!

So God being a holy and just God, separated us from and and made us mortal, that we would die and when we did we would perish forever in the Lake of Fire totally separated from the presence of God. This is no death anyone wants to be part of, believe me... eternal torture! But that is what we deserve for disobeying our creator and God!

But in God's "More than Immense Love" he did not leave us hanging. He gave us something great, not just some cheap or worthless thing, but He gave us his son! The greatest gift that He could ever possibly give us, He gave. Where else does one find a God who gives to his people. In every other "religion" the gods ask something from the people, yet our God, the God, gives and gave to his people.

Christ Jesus came to earth and became a human so that He could be our perfect King and so he could save us from the eternal death that was caused by our sin. Yet we were deaf and sightless and did not heed or acknowledge Him, though He did many signs and wonders that should have made us realize who He was. So he decided to die and when He did He took on every person's sin! He died and went to the Lake of Fire for us. But, since He had no sin and since He was dieing for the world's sin God raised him up from the dead and because of that death no longer has any power over him. God did this with incredible power that none but Him have, we cannot even imagine it!

God declared then that, anyone who believes that Jesus died and took on their sin, then was buried to show that He had truly died, then that He rose again, will have eternal life forever, no matter what! That is the only, and again I say only, way to get to heaven. If anyone, I repeat anyone, on earth believes that they can be saved from eternal death forever and will go to heaven when they die! Christ's death is completely sufficient to save us, we need nought else. How incredible is this free gift of salvation that God gives us!

This salvation that God gives to us is so extremely simple yet so many nowadays make it so hard!

Lastly, please do not just let this wash right over your head, though you may have heard this many times it is always good to hear it again because this is the very basis of everything pertaining to God! Thank you!

More to come in the future.

Please post all comments or questions and I will get back to you.

David

I'm back (and professionally too).

Good afternoon, I am very delighted to talk to you right now!
Today I will be speaking on a subject very interesting to us all, graduation. A graduation is a very momentous occasion. And that is precisely why I am writing this post. My brother, Keith, and his wife, Mary, just graduated from college.
Because of the great event we left our humble abode here in the deep south and went to their graduation ceremony. My brother, Keith, graduated with a bachelors of science degree in engineering with electrical concentration and with a minor in computer science. My sister-in-law, Mary, graduated with a bachelors of arts degree in history.
We left last Thursday morning and got to my brother and sister-in-law's home that evening. We staid in a Holiday Inn near my brother and sister-in-law's house. My grandparents were there and my sister-in-laws parents and sister were there as well.
We had fun and ate at cool restaurants. Some of which are, Marketplace and Olive Garden. Marketplace being the better. At Marketplace I got chicken-fried-chicken and sweet potato fries (sweet potato fries are excelent, especially with cinnamon sweet and sour sauce)! At Olive Garden I got chicken and potatoes in a DELISCOUS mushroom sauce. My brother, Keith, and his wife just got a new VW Beetle. It is sssssssssooooooooooo cool! It is a stick shift, deisel, and has a vegetable oil tank. It gets 60 miles an hour on the highway, and 40 miles an hour in the city. And on both its tanks it can go something like 1400 miles without stopping for gas!
We left my brother and sister-in-law's place on Monday and went to my brother-in-law, Ryan's, parent's house. At Ryan's parent's house we had alot of fun. We staid up late and watched At Ryan's parent's house we had alot of fun. We staid up late and did all kinds of things some of which were crazy and some of which were normal and some of which were stupid and had a good time together doing all kinds of stuff!
We left Ryan's parent's on Wednesday morning and got back on Wednesday evening.
Now all I have to do is get back into normal life.

Happy Birthday! (To Myself)

Hello peoples,

Yesterday was a commemorative day. It was the day that I was born. I am now one year older than I was the day before yesterday. Thankyou for congradulating me.

Yesterday was also the day after the day that I finished pre-algebra. Thankyou for congradulating me on that too.

Money and valuable presents will be accepted. JK! HAHAHAHEHEHEHEHEHOHOHOHOHO! Anyways I just had a birthday and for those of you who do not have my sence of humor alll of the previous sentences were completely for fun. (Well... except that I am a year older and I did finish pre-alerbra, that was not a joke. (The previous sentence is completely serious and is for those who have an extremely dull sence of humor and take everthing seriously. HAHAHAHA!!!!))

Cool Weather In April... etc.

Well... here where I live the weather in April is in the mid nineties pretty constantly. Easter morning of this year the weather was found to be quite cold, approximately forty-one degrees with a wind chill of thirty-one degrees! This is very odd for down here. Here December hardly gets that cold!

It was amazing! And then, to please us even more yesterday (4/15/07) it got cold again!

This was and is an incredibly interesting April.

As you can probably see I prefer cold weather to warm weather. I know that you peoples in Canada think quite the opposite but I do not!

Changing the subject, how do you like the background template? I like it much better than the old one. It's also personalized! Amazing right? Right! (OK, not really amazing, but still cool.)

I need you to vote. Should I do a blue or green background template. I can't decide, right now I have the green one on. But the blue one looks great too. So what do I do?

School wise... I'm almost done with math, and everything else I will be finished with at the end of May. Nothing of interest really.

I have spent the weekend with the Coopers (good friends of ours) while my family is at the thirtieth anniversary of our previous home church (which is near San Antonio). I did not feel like being embarrassed by my parents and "old" friends so it was arranged that I would stay here in the valley with the Coopers. I think that I had a much more enjoyable time with the Coopers than I would have had I gone with my parents.

We watched some cool movies which were: Braveheart, Serenity, and Xmen III The Last Stand.

All of the happenings mentioned above were very fun and enlightening!

Until next post,
Jedimicah

Hey guys,

Long time, no post.

We went to the Riverwalk in San Antonio for a couple days this last week. It was awesome. We left on Sunday and came back today (Wednesday). From the hotel it was just a short walk to get to the Riverwalk. For the first part of the first day we walked down the Riverwalk and looked at all the stuff. After we had walked down most of the Riverwalk went to the Aztec theater and watched a documentary called Volcanoes of the Deep Sea. It was kind of cool but it had a lot of evolution and was a little boring, but it was on a screen almost as big as an IMAX screen. We ate supper that night at the Rainforest Café, which was cool because of the simulated thunderstorms and exotic fish aquariums. That evening we walked on the Riverwalk again to see the lights which were pretty neat. The next day we went to the San Antonio mall and went to the IMAX and watched The Polar Express in 3D. It was really cool because you felt like you were in the movie. We also went to a bookstore in the mall that was pretty cool. The mall was huge! There were all different kinds of stores and it was 3 stories high. After the mall we went to a Starbucks that was two stories high at the top of a three story building, in other words the top two stories of the building were a Starbucks. The Starbucks was really cool because in it there were all these computers were you could listen to music and burn music off the computer. (There were probably like about fifty of these throughout the Starbucks.) If you bought a drink at the Starbucks then you could get a five dollar discount off of an album you purchase. I bought the Return of the King soundtrack and the 2006 Switchfoot album. Early this afternoon we got home.

Oh, I almost forgot, Christmas was great, (excluding when I got sick), I got money and chocolate for Christmas. Now that might not sound so great but what I bought with the money is great, I bought a 30 gigabyte iPod with video. It is so awesome! I can have all my favorite music on it and I can buy almost any movie for it. If you have any tips on using it or taking care of it or accessorizing it, tell me.

Please comment on your Christmas. Thank you. (I don’t think that was necessary, the “thank you”.)
